Case Study Story

Goodwood Station Success Story

The Goodwood Station Social Housing Development is not just a building complexβ€”it represents a landmark victory for urban regeneration and affordable housing inclusion.

Historically, low-income families are pushed to the outer geographical margins of South African cities, creating massive financial and temporal commute overheads. Located directly along Cape Town's railway backbone, Goodwood Station reintegrates families directly into active socio-economic hubs.

Developed in partnership with the **Social Housing Regulatory Authority (SHRA)** and the **City of Cape Town**, the project provides secure rental housing for citizens earning combined monthly gross incomes between R1,800 and R22,500. Under FCI's premium property management, the complex features beautifully landscaped, secure play courtyards, commercial transit retail, and strict access control, giving families a standard of living that completely reimagines what affordable housing can be.
